Is Pro Essay Writing Service Legit?

Pro Essay Writing Service is another company that is under the same umbrella as College Paper.com and Essay Shark.com. These services are really all the same outfit, but operate under different names. They all farm their customer service out to Manila, Philippines so even if your writers are native English speakers (which most of them will not be), it’s still highly likely that your experience will be less than smooth with the language barriers.

The answer to the question of whether or not the service is legitimate is murky. I mean, they do papers, yes. But they claim to be something they are not, so does that disqualify them from being an honest, reliable service provider? We say yes, but read on to make your own decision.

Below you will see that the site promises that you can choose your own writer. When you ask the Chat agent, they tell you the company selects the writer for you. So this is one of many misleading claims the site makes.

Are Pro Essay Writers American (or at least native English speakers)?

No. While they may employ some English-speaking writers, they mostly hire foreign writers from all over the world. From what we’ve gathered, they do not pay well so they often attract writers who live in places like India and the Philippines where the cost of living is low enough to exist on the lower pay.

The problem with this is that the paper you get back will not read like an American (or native English speaker) wrote it. It will be in those (sometimes) subtle differences that the paper will lose legitimacy and raise a lot of red flags by anyone grading it.

What about Pricing? Is Pro Essay Fairly Priced?

As is the case with Essay Shark, College Paper, and a lot of the other “companies” that fall under this umbrella, Pro Essay gives really fair prices…IF YOU GIVE THEM 10 DAYS NOTICE! Most people cannot do that. Additionally, there are hidden fees that are added on as you move through the purchasing process; fees that do not show up on the pricing list on the website.

Can I Choose My Own Writer?

No. You place an order and the unseen staff at Pro Essay chooses the writer for you. They claim to have 700 writers, but you cannot see any profiles.

This is really unusual for a legitimate writing service to withhold writer profiles from prospective clients. It is one thing to not show a picture of the writer, as most writers like some level of anonymity. However, to fail to allow clients to browse writers, see their credentials, and select the one they feel the most comfortable with, seems suspicious. It makes us wonder if there really are only a small handful of writers at Pro Essay, not the 700 they boast about employing.

There should be nothing to hide with the writers. A student should be able to see a profile, speak freely with the writer, and decide for himself (or herself) which writer would be best suited for the job.

Are all of the Pro Essay Writers Really Master’s and Ph. D’s?

Well, “Kim” on the chat feature says they all have these high-level degrees. A side note is that the chat agents always have American names like Ralph, Kim, Bob, and Amy; however, they will readily admit to being from Manila, Philippines. Anyway, the likelihood of “700” writers holding such impressive degrees working for the low pay that freelance essay writers generally earn, is extremely low. That is not to say that many of the writers do not have high degrees. I am certain they do, but all 700?

First of all, Pro Essay does not employ 700 active writers. That is the exact same number Essay Shark and College Paper claim. Right there, the red flags raise. But even if they did, it is insanity to blatantly lie to the public and say they all hold Master’s degrees and Ph. D’s.

Secondly, if the writers were as educated as the site claims, why is it that so many people are getting back terrible papers from them?

Paper Quality

As the reviews show, the papers are riddled with careless errors that an American writer would never miss. The refund policy is practically nonexistent, so if you’re unhappy then there is not much to be done about it except learn from your mistake and hire someone else next time.

Our Verdict:

We try very hard to be objective, offering the good, the bad, and the ugly as fairly as possible in our reviews. In this case, however, there is little to be said for any “pros” with Pro Essay Writing.

Getting a refund is nearly impossible. Communicating with your writer ahead of time is not an option. The hidden fees really add up, and unless you give 10 days notice, the paper will cost you a lot more than most credible essay writing services. The only customer service representatives are foreign. The reviews are awful. There are multiple deceptions throughout their website, misleading customers about the number of their writers, pricing, communication, and satisfaction guarantees.

Steer clear of this company! They seem to care about little more than their bottom line.
